My return to Pangkor.
Same area, different island and all for the better. Starting from the pickup point in Marina Island we already felt like royalties because of humble and kind way the staff treats you.
A late check in made us prepare for lunch immediately after arrival with a view that gives you the exotic feeling you were looking for, surrounded by numerous hornbills (which you probably saw in my story). Quite an experience!
After lunch we went for a quick swim at the main pool with palm trees all around you. The ocean view villas just gave the finishing touch to picture, don’t you agree?
Afterwards we prepared for the romantic sunset cruise that takes you around the island, which is quite big! Less than 10% is used by the resort and still I find that nature found its way around it. Also the animals don’t seem to mind too much as they get some nice leftover fruits from time to time. Take a look at some of the pictures we made on the 1 hour cruise as we bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun.
Not much longer after the cruise we went out eating at Uncle Lim’s Kitchen together with Stephen, the general manager from the hotel. He let us try some of the duck, chicken and cuttlefish, made by their 85year old Chinese “Uncle Lim” who refuses to retire. And a good thing that is I would say, as his recipes are delicious to say the least. If you get the chance to visit this place I can recommend you to try the duck, YUMMIE!
A walk home over the ocean pathway-bridge makes the romance come to life with the sound of the waves hitting the rocks.
Reaching home going I went straight to bed, but not before taking a shot of the beautiful resort by night.
Soon more about the spa experience and the beach of Pangkor Laut Resort!
