Oh Paris, this city has stolen my heart many times, but this spring it was even more beautiful. Its breathtaking architecture, its light at 7pm before the sun sets, it’s incredible culture and history and the insanely good restaurants. Paris is a city where dreams are born.
Our trip to Paris was an escape from everyday life and no better hotel to stay for this escape than Hotel Le 5 codet. Already from outside the hotel looks very modern and new, but when you enter the entrance hall and reception area you are blown away by the amazing modern architecture and design. There is an extreme attention for detail in the decoration and art pieces! Furthermore the staff is very friendly and available whenever you need them. I was happily surprised by their great service, driving our car away, making restaurant reservations, keeping our room tidy at any time and checking in with us every once in a while to ask if they could be of any assistance, The staff makes you feel comfortable at all time!
The refined architecture is continued in the rooms with elegant art pieces and luxurious surroundings. Its big bathrooms with everything you need and very comfortable beds. It was also my first time to sleep in a hotel with automatically opening curtains, so nice!
If you go downstairs the bar/restaurant/lounge area you enter another great room. If I would have to describe the style of the interior design I would say it has something retro American from the seventies however completely modernized in tight modern lines. The breakfast is sublime with everything you might think of! I strongly recommend taking the muffins with a caramel heart, they were simply delicious!
We were sad to leave “Le 5 codet” because we had a wonderful stay! This is my new favorite hotel in Paris, which I strongly recommend.
Of course we didn’t stay the whole day in our hotel rooms enjoying our luxurious service. Paris has so much to offer that we had to get out and enjoy the city. Spring is the perfect season to visit Paris; the colors of the city are even more beautiful during spring! One of the great things about Paris is the delicious food and drinks I had over there. It was so good I can’t forget to mention some of the lovely addresses I discovered. If you are up for some Asian fusion food in a futuristic interior you should go to Miss Kô. Real authentic Italian food is to find at Marco Polo’s where we enjoyed pure Italian food. Cocktail bars are everywhere in Paris but I strongly recommend you to go to Prescription, their cocktails are pretty special, it has dark surroundings with cozy seats and some funky soul music in the back. A lovely spot for the cool kids in Paris!
It seems to be that Paris has won my heart once again because I can’t stop writing about it. However, I won’t make this post too long and leave some of the great spots to discover by yourself. Enjoy the photo diary!
