I’m writing this article while I’m heading back by train to Antwerp, it is the perfect time to think back about yesterday’s event and share with you guys how great my day was. How come? Well, we got invited to a pretty Exclusive event in Paris hosted by two of my favorites: Tommy Hilfiger and Rafael Nadal. For the occasion Tommy Hilfiger invited us for a short press trip to Paris to present their new campaign together with Rafael.
I am always happy when I arrive in Paris, there’s just something about this city. Furthermore, our arrival couldn’t have been smoother since we had our on personal driver waiting for us to take us from one place to the other, all around Paris. Our first stop was at the Tommy Hilfiger store; here I got styled by one of Tommy’s NY stylists, Matthew. He made sure we looked sharp for the upcoming night in a complete outfit of Tommy tailored. It all had to happen very fast because many influencers had to get their suits ready for the event. Our suits got tailored while we checked-in our hotel and went we a quick lunch, this all together with our super nice driver Mohammed, so convenient. Afterwards we had some time to relax at the hotel and to get ready for the big event. Our suits were delivered right on time, quick change of clothing, making sure my hair was fixed and then we were ready to go.
Rafa is in Paris because next week he has to rule the tennis court at Roland Garros again. Here in Paris he is already a legend for winning this grand slam for already 9 times (a record). Yesterday however he was there for Tommy Hilfiger to play a slightly different game: soccer tennis. This game was organized right in the heart of Paris outside the Tommy Hilfiger Headquarters. Once all the people had arrived the game could start. The opponent of Rafael was Gregory Van Der Wiel, football player of Paris Saint-Germain and member of the Dutch national team, not an easy game you could say. The match was interrupted several times by the umpire, Justine Fraioli, she showed Rafael how flexible his new flex suit was, took a selfie with the guys and was more in charge of the entertainment as of the match. In the end the match turned out in a draw, who could have predicted that? The most important thing was that everyone had a good time and so did we. It was such a cool experience to see these two top athletes in real life and definitely at such a cool venue and with such great atmosphere. I even got a photo moment with the man of the evening, happy me as you can tell from the pictures.
Afterwards we were invited for dinner at Caviar Kaspia with a select group of influencers and organizers of the event. I sat next to Justine Fraioli the host at the event, and she was so funny. It is always nice meeting new people, definitely if you’re having a good time. The food was also great, the restaurant is known for its caviar and so our main dish was caviar with mashed potatoes and cream. One word: delicious! After chitchatting some other fellow bloggers it was time to go back to the hotel and go to sleep. This morning I went for a small stroll near our hotel to see the Moulin Rouge and now I am back again in the train to Antwerp. It was a short but very lovely trip, this all thanks to Tommy Hilfiger.
Au revoir Paris, hope to see you soon!
