2015 A year of wanderlust

Matthias Geerts

Well Guys, 2015 is almost over, it was a year of many new experiences, lots of fashion, meeting new people, crazy parties and unique moments! I’m glad to say that 2015 has been one crazy hell of a year and I can’t believe it’s almost over. It has flown by like a hurricane, so time to stand still and pick up some memories of this amazing year. Speaking about flying, I have flown to many parts of the world, from North-Africa to South-East Asia. The great thing about traveling to all the far corners of the world is the different cultures you get to experience that are so different and hard to understand yet so beautiful and unique in its own way. Our planet is a place of contrasts, there is now better way to compare this than to think of the extreme luxury I saw in Dubai compared to the struggling poverty from Cambodia. I’ve enjoyed all my holidays and can’t wait for 2016 to start and explore the rest of the world.

In 2015 I’ve been very lucky to experience some unique luxury, from the ultimate honeymoon resort in Thailand where we got a private dinner on the beach to my luxurious stay in Marrakech were I had a taste of life as an Arabian sheikh. I am very thankful to all the hotels that offered the best service I could ever meet. It was a whole new experience for a young man like myself.

One of my main principles as a fashion blogger is that I believe that style and travel are two things that belong together. So I tried to fit the content of my suitcase as much as possible to the destination of interest. This wasn’t always an easy task since I had so many outfits to pack with only a limited amount of space. Actually, I can say that I’ve become an experienced suitcase packer and I’ve learned quite some skills this year. Socks are stocked in my shoes and T-shirts are rolled as a compact sausage.

Enough said. Pictures say more than words so what do you think about a selection of my favorite travel shots from 2015? I’ve listed them chronologically, have a look and go down memory lane together with me, hope you like it as much as I do! And ow, thanks for being such engaged readers, I’m so happy with all the support I get from you guys.

Big kisses from your boy MattG!
