Back to the twist

Matthias Geerts

Hi guys,

Back to the ’00s or back to the twist? Who remembers the twisted tongue shoes had back in the ’00s? Well, I don’t because I was born in ‘94. But when I heard about it I looked it up, read about it and I was quite surprised I did not know about this or the fact it was a trend back then. Quite funny. More funny is that this hype is coming back. Well it isn’t the first time things become hot and trending again after being away for a long while.

Today I’m throwing back the tongue twister with a typical summer outfit à la Mattgstyle. The white sneaker is still a must have shoe this summer and you won’t see it leaving my wardrobe anytime soon. So I went for a white sneaker with a catchy print on it. Perfect to pair up with dressed trousers like I did but also with jeans, chinos or even shorts.
Pretty straightforward but the great thing about these tongue twisters is that you have the ability to create 3 different kind of shoes. Like you can see in the photos, it’s easy to turn it from one side to the other, just flip the metal-turn-button-system.  You won’t feel any discomfort after turning it upside down; the tongue is made for this feature.

This pair of shoes is exclusive availably in Belgium in the Take-Off stores;
