During our short stay we went to Valparaiso for day; Yes just for a day.
If you have limited days to take off, or want to take the most of your trip.
One day is enough to see the highlights of Valparaiso, well to wander around, have some drinks, dinner and by the evening returning. Should be fine.
If you’re young, or/and just like to go out you have to stay for a night. The nightlife is fun in Valparaiso. So I’ve heard because I didn’t stay for the night.
Like I said, Valparaiso is so great to wander around and discover the city by yourself just walk up the hills and get lost in the streets full of street art. First time I tried the Empanada it’s a typical Chilean snack. By now I had a lot more, they have them with all different fillings.
Also my first time ceviche, it’s a delicious fish dish that’s a little bit sour , with salad, onions tomatoes, … Also a must try when in Chile.
Walking through the streets we bumped into a cool terrace with view above the city called “Brighton” see photos below. A great place to have wine and take some nice shots! Further I don’t have any recommendations as we did the city only for a few hours but like I said it’s a great place to get los in, just see where it goes.
