A few weeks ago me and Dennis went to Amsterdam for a special project. About which, at the moment, I can’t tell you much more until June. In the meanwhile you can enjoy this post and my travel posts of Malaysia.
I have thought about it a few times recently and I really felt like I had to invest in a decent pair of black shoes. Underneath a fancy suit, during important formalities like red carpet events, award nights, weddings or some other occasions that just deserve that little extra touch. A sophisticated look is always a win-win on such days.
“My belief is you have only one chance to make a first impression.”
I do own a few black pairs already… Of course who – me as menswear blogger – would I be without? However, I did really want that little extra, very decent pair. Not that regular pair of black shoes, which everyone already owns. You do want to stand out don’t you?
A pair which attracts people attention, something that they notice and not just another boring pair of black shoes.
And the thing is, when you are keen on getting your hands on a qualitative pair of shoes and you don’t mind paying that little extra, then these are the ones to go for. At least that is what I think about it, you pay for what you get. Handcrafted high end shoes!
I do know Fratelli Rossetti has always been known for their very unique designs, high quality and elegance.
I went to their store in Antwerp just a few weeks ago and picked out a black pair of brogues, which you can see are very elegant. BUT still very strong in the meaning of masculine. Finally I found myself a decent pair of black shoes. Now I’m just waiting for the perfect occasion to wear them with pride.
We stayed at the Conservatorium Amsterdam which was a very nice setting to shoot this oufit before we went out for dinner… Well eventually we ended up with Roomservice.
Hope you like it, would you buy this pair of black shoes?
