HAMCUS’ Spring/Summer 2020 Collection Epitomises A “Dystopian” Yet Apocalyptic Human Era

For SS20, HAMCUS designer Tuff Leung payed homage to the label’s archetypal dystopian aesthetic, upholding the Chinese brand’s emblematic meticulousness to storytelling.

Entitled “SOLØ,” the collection symbolises the “story of ADAM” and his inevitably seminal trip into HAMCUS’ distorted world. The apparel illustrates a dark universe where children of Adam, endangered with extinction, are obliged to seek for refuge. The highly practical, stuffed-styled clothing portray the theme through bulky silhouettes, distressed textures, and techno-hype features.
