Rituals Urban Spa

Matthias Geerts

Hi Guys,

I’ve got some serious Monday blues today, but great memories from the past week. After a short trip to Amsterdam we got on our way to my favorite destination at the Belgian coast, Knokke-Heist. Once in a while a rare thing happens during the Belgian summer, we have a couple of sunny days in row. When this happens everyone jumps in their cars and heads over to the seaside. For us however, this wasn’t just a spontaneous cause of action, we got invited by Rituals for a nice Spa treatment before heading to “La Nuit du Zoute”, the biggest yearly fair in Knokke with lots of fashion expositions and cocktails to celebrate summer.

The Rituals Urban Spa lies in the heart of the city and is a day spa where you can escape the hectic pace of everyday life. It had been a hectic couple of days so I was completely ready to get carried away into the world of total relaxation. Rituals is an expert in aromatherapies and skin care in general, therefore a Spa using only their products already has a head start.  I got an all-round back massage, which was just perfect, my back was completely stiff beforehand and I could really feel the massage entering deep inside my sour muscles. I loved the tools that were used during the massage, first warmed bamboo sticks, these are good for your blood circulation and they felt very soft, secondly is got rubbed with hot stones and essential oils. Afterwards I felt rested and full of new energy. It was just wonderful.

Remember, happiness lies in small things and often we forget how important it is to take time for ourselves, to relax and enjoy the moment. Based on this philosophy, Rituals brought the best beauty treatments from all over the world together to one place.

Want to experience this yourself. Head over the Knokke’s Rituals city Spa and discover the unique treatments they offer in their urban spa menu
