If you followed the interior posts of our home in the past you probably remember we are big fans of large rugs. Without a doubt they add a softness to rooms that may otherwise feel cold and stark. Moreover, it is a cheap, yet chic way to vamp your room, and you can swap them around your home when you want to switch it up.
After we completed the interior of our home it was time to give our office a makeover. To choose a rug for this area we went back to our at time favorite carpet and rug brand, Louis De Poortere. Furthermore they are the perfect fit with our style and were happy to partner up again for our office makeover.
For our office we wanted to integrate a beautiful Persian rug. The trend has been in spotted by interior magazines, stylists, designers and other bloggers who have all used Persian rugs in their homes. The way these traditional style rugs have been styled in a modern setting is rather new and exciting. Here’s my style tips on how to decorate your home with a Persian rug.
First of all we choose the color of the rug to match our sofa and wooden floor. However Louis De Poortere offers many other styles and colors.

Secondly, if you opt for a Persian rug, I suggest to integrate it with modern pieces and make sure your rug is the eye catcher. This way it will be balanced and appealing for the eye.
Isn’t it remarkable how a Persian rug can breath life into an all-neutral room like this one? In my opinion, a Persian rug is so rich in color, texture, pattern and history they can blend seamlessly into almost any space.
