Striving to achieve a peak calibre of sustainability, Nike is shepherding in their vibrant yet pulsating Earth Day celebrations, with an intention of upgrading three of its iconic shoe styles – Air Force 1, Blazer Low and Cortez – in utter Flyleather constructions, including the radiant art of Steve Harrington, pushing the environmental lessons to a whole new level. Simple and minimalistic in their production likewise execution, each silhouette features a white hue alongside the beaming chromatic palette produced by the Californian artist. His work pioneers innovation and provides a fresh taste to our summer wardrobes, detaching from the classic “one-tone” monotony that we customarily tend to opt for. The various motifs play on the earth in alternation, designing a series of mosaic shapes with the classic bulk sole that characterises the shoe.
